Privacy notice
How we handle personal data, under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Concept build
This is a portfolio demonstration of a PDPA-compliant privacy notice, not a live legal document for an operating clinic. A real clinic should have this reviewed by a qualified person, and note that the PDPA has a language requirement for notices — confirm the current wording of that provision before publishing.
What we collect
Name, IC or passport number, contact details, medical and dental history, treatment records, radiographs, and payment or insurance details. We collect this directly from you, and from a referring practitioner where one is involved.
Why we collect it
To provide dental treatment safely, to maintain the clinical records we are required to keep, to process payment and insurance claims, and to contact you about your appointments.
Marketing and messaging
We do not send marketing messages by default. We will only contact you by WhatsApp or SMS for appointment reminders or feedback requests if you have specifically agreed to it, and you can withdraw that at any time by telling us. This is a separate consent from your consent to treatment.
Who we share it with
Dental laboratories producing your crown, denture or appliance; specialists we refer you to, with your knowledge; your insurer or panel administrator where you are claiming; and any authority we are legally required to disclose to. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained for the period required of a private healthcare facility in Malaysia, and securely destroyed afterwards.
Security
Records are held in access-controlled systems and physical files in a secured area. Access is limited to staff who need it to do their job.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may request access to your personal data, request correction of anything inaccurate, limit how it is processed, and withdraw a consent you previously gave. Contact the person in charge of the clinic to do any of these.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing on it is loaded from a third-party server. The map on the contact page opens in a new tab rather than embedding, so Google receives no data about you unless you choose to click it.
